Triple antibiotic cream is a topical anti-biotic (first aid) solution for treatment of minor skin infections from cuts, scrapes and burns. It is available without a prescription for self-medication.
This product contains bacitracin, neomycin and polymyxin as active an ingredient which works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medication only treat bacterial skin infections and its ineffective for other types of skin infections (e.g. infections caused by fungi, viruses etc.)
Side Effects:
As with all pharmaceuticals some unwanted effects can occur from the use of triple antibiotic creams. Always consult a doctor or health care professional for medical advice before use. This medication is well tolerated.
